The Asus ZenFone Max (M2) and ZenFone Max Pro (M2) are official

The Asus ZenFone Max (M2) and ZenFone Max Pro (M2) are official
As expected, Asus had today held a press conference in Indonesia and India to present the ZenFone Max Pro (M2). He was accompanied by his little brother, ZenFone Max (M2). Their arrival in Europe has not yet been confirmed.

There is no season for ads. While the month of December is traditionally quite calm, it is this year animated by numerous launches of telephones. And some are iconic, like the Samsung Galaxy A8s, which could be the first commercial smartphone with a built-in webcam on the screen (if it's not him, it will be a model of Huawei). Virtually all Asian brands have planned a launch before the end of the year (and the start of CES in Las Vegas). And Asus is part of the lot.

Formalized, but not surprising
As expected, the Taiwanese brand organized a press conference this morning that was taking place simultaneously in Indonesia and India. The subject of this conference was known: the ZenFone Max Pro (M2), successor of the ZenFone Max Pro (M1), arrived this fall in Europe. But a leak dating from the beginning of the month had revealed that it would be accompanied by ZenFone Max (M2). A leak that took the opportunity to reveal almost everything there was to know about the two phones.

It is therefore no surprise that the two smartphones have been formalized this morning with sales prices and expected configurations. The ZenFone Max Pro (M2) will be offered at 12999 rupees (159 euros) in version 3 + 32 GB, 14999 rupees (183 euros) in version 4 + 64 GB and 16999 rupees (207 euros) in version 6 + 64 GB. It remains to be seen which ones will be offered in the West on the phone arrives there (which was the case of its predecessor).

Panoramic screens with notch and large batteries
Recall the main technical features: 6.27-inch Full HD + screen with notch, Corning Gorilla 6 mineral glass, Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, 5000 mAh battery, Android 8.1 Oreo without interface (promised update for January 2019), dual photo sensor 13 + 5 megapixels, double 13 + 5 megapixel webcam with facial recognition software.

The little brother is not really a little brother since the size of the screen is the same (but beware of false friends). It comes in two versions: 3 + 32 GB to 9999 rupees (122 euros) and 4 + 64 GB to 11999 rupees (147 euros). There are several significant changes yet to wait. First the chipset: this is a Snapdragon 632. Then the battery, a model of 4000 mAh. Then the screen, whose definition is HD + and not Full HD +. Finally, the photo: double 13 + 2 megapixel photo sensor on the back and a simple 8 megapixel webcam in the front.
